Chartwell

My friend, Debbie, and I went off to Chartwell, Westerham, Kent.  Chartwell was Winston Churchill's home and as his saying goes "A day away from Chartwell is a day wasted".  It is one of the most beautiful places I know.   I could quite happily live in the house and the views over the gardens and countryside are just wonderful.
Following our visit we decided to stop off in Biggin Hill for a drink in the Old Jail pub.

  1. Yep, beautiful place - I loved it, too. Visited some years ago with my Mum. I see you also took photos of the Gunnera. My mother was totally fascinated by them!
