Merry Christmas everyone

I would like to wish all my blog followers and those that just stumble across
my blog a very Merry Christmas.

Olympic Games - I am going to them!

I had a call from my Bank yesterday evening to tell me that I had won tickets to an event at the Olympic or Paralympic Games, London 2012.  I walked down to the Bank this morning and they provided me with a letter and a copy of the Q&A.   I will not know which event I am going to until March 2012 but I am really excited to know that I can go to the Games.

Chocolate Truffles

I have made some chocolate truffles, these are for the friends I am seeing over the Christmas break.  I started them yesterday and then left them overnight in the fridge.  There are 2 kinds; some rum truffles and I have added some white chocolates to a few of them.  The other kind are nutty as I added peanut butter to the chocolate mix and coated them in chopped nuts too.   They are now all in the freezer and will not be taken out until Christmas Eve, when I shall put them in some papers and get them boxed up.

Christmas Card Competition

Last Wednesday I entered the Christmas Card Competition at the local camera club.   It was all a bit of fun and we had a really great evening viewing all the entries whilst enjoying glasses of mulled wine, sausages, sausage rolls and mince pies.  The winner was a lovely photograph of a robin.  My entry was more for fun. It was a lego snowman, that I had photographed in Berlin in December 2010, and I added the words; Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Lego Snow!  I may not have won but I did get an honourable mention.
