Hampton Court Palace - roof top tour

Today I went to Hampton Court Palace to go on a roof top tour.  It was a lovely sunny day and the views were amazing.  It was great to see the gardens, grounds and the chimneys up close.

Chocolate Muffins

Yesterday it was a cold, wet, miserable day, not good for the middle of May.  So to bring a little sunshine to my life I made Chocolate Muffins.

Trip to Lisbon

I know I have been a rubbish blogger recently and I must get back into blogging so I will start with my trip to Lisbon.

My friend Rochelle took a flight to Lisbon for a few days.   We found a lovely city which was easy to get around on the Metro and trams.  We stayed in Dom Carlos Park Hotel a great hotel and within easy reach of the city centre by foot and the Metro.

We travelled on the trams around the city, they get quite crowded but are worth the ride.

We had one day in Belem to see the Carriage Museum, the Monastery, the padrao dos descobrimentos (Monument to the Discoveries).

We also enjoyed the lovely pastries.

Book - Exit Music

Just finished reading Exit Music by Ian Rankin.    I really like DI Rebus and the twists and turns of this his last case as a police officer.
