Environmental Fair - 2013

Today is the Environmental Fair at Carshalton Park.

The fair is quite large, with loads of stalls, food, plants, charities, therapies, entertainment and lots, lots more.   I bought some cards and chatted to a couple of therapists that I know and found out about a local cycle initiative that allows you to cycle safely off road.

Frogmore House and Garden

I met up with my school friends on Monday for a day out.  We met at Windsor for a coffee and then we walked along the High Street to The Long Walk and down to the entrance to Frogmore House.   We went passed the Mausoleum, which was closed, through the grounds which has some amazing trees, then on to the House.   The house was lovely, very cosy with beautiful views of the grounds.
I have added some photos to flickr.

Missenden Abbey

Just back from a couple of days at Missenden Abbey to do a photoshop elements course.   It was a residential course and I had to go up on the Wednesday afternoon as it was quite a journey.   The accommodation was ok and the food was excellent.  We spent all day Thursday and most of Friday working on the computers.  Hopefully I will be able to remember some of what I have been taught.   I did manage to see some of the Abbey and the gardens and as you can see they were lovely.

Cricket - Stained Glass

One of friends is a brilliant stained glass artist and this is her latest piece for a 65th birthday.

Hyde Hall

After a lovely BBQ we sat chatting until dark and then Liz and Keith took me to RHS Hyde Hall to see some lovely gardens.   A great weekend seeing beautiful gardens with some great friends.

BBQ with Liz and Keith

It was the annual BBQ with my friends Liz and Keith, with lots of friends old and new, fabulous food in a beautiful garden.

Chart Edge Gardens

On Friday I went with my friend Andrea to Chart Edge Gardens near Westerham, Kent.    We had lunch in Westerham first and then walked up the hill to the gardens.    Chart Edge Gardens are not open very often only a couple of times a week for a few hours.

We had a good walk around and the gardens were beautiful.   I have attached a few photos here and there are some more photos on flickr.
