Theatre - The Light Princess

Last night I went, with my friend Rochelle, to see The Light Princess at the National Theatre.   I didn't know the story but it is a Scottish fairy tale and this was set to music by Tori Amos.

Without giving too much away the Princess has no gravity and spends her time floating in the air.  There were some wires used but most of the time the Princess was manoeuvred around by 4 acrobats.   The acrobats were all dressed in black and so the blended into the background and they kept her moving off the ground during the production, while the Princess continues acting, singing etc.  It was brilliantly done.

A really good evening and an excellent musical.
