Wimbledon Tennis 2014

Yesterday I had my first experience of Centre Court Wimbledon.   I had managed to get seats in the ballot for the 3rd day of the tournament and I was very much looking forward to the day.   My friend, Rochelle, and I saw 3 matches, first up was ladies singles Casey Dellacqua v A. Radwanska,  then we went on to the mens Grigor Dimitrov v Luke Saville and finally a really exciting game with Novak Djokavic v Radek Stepanek.

During the day I also spotted Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall in the Royal Box.

Drawing course continues...........

During the second and third week of my drawing course we drew and finished pictures of a lion and cub and Grace Kelly.

The lion cub does look a little cuddly and and I am not sure Grace Kelly looks like her, but they are not too bad for a beginner.

Bletchley Park

Last weekend I met up with my cousin Jayne and her husband Chris for a day out to Bletchley Park.  I love this place, it has a wonderful feel about the place and is most fascinating.   Lovely to catch up with Jayne and Chris too.

Drawing course

Started another drawing course, near to Beckenham this time.    I am doing the morning course, drawing for the terrified and an afternoon course drawing portraits.   These are my efforts so far.

Physic Garden

Met up with my school friends and we had a visit to the lovely Physic Garden in Chelsea.   Great opportunity to catch up with friends.

Thornton Heath meetup

I joined the Lenses of Croydon meetup group on a visit around Thornton Heath.   The weather was terrible but about a dozen of us set off from the Leisure Centre and walked around the area.   It was interesting and I met some lovely people.

Lots more photos on flickr.

Salisbury Cathedral

Yikes I have not updated my blog in ages..................

In May I had a weekend away with friends in Amesbury, on the Saturday we took a trip to Salisbury.  We went on the Salisbury Cathedral rooftop tour.    It was a really good visit to the cathedral and steps, over 300 of them didn't seem too bad.   Definitely worth a visit.
