Tour of Australia (Part 6 - Melbourne)

Day 18 - We flew off to Melbourne.  We started with a visit to Queen Victoria Market before going to the hotel.

The following day I went to the Royal Exhibition Building for the International Flower and Garden Show.

I also had a walk around the city and came across the Eight Hour Day Monument - 888.  This was initiated in 1856 by the Eight Hour League who campaigned for 8 hours of work, rest and recreation and education.

Later in the day we went out to Philip Island to see the penguins come ashore - no photos allowed.

The following day we went to Ballarat and Sovereign Hill, which is a living museum.

Our final evening of the tour we went on one of the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant. The meal was amazing and so was the atmosphere.

A few more photos on flickr.
