Remembering 1916 Exhibition

I found out about this local exhibition and decided to pay it a visit. The exhibition was at the Whitgift School, Croydon.   It is quite extensive and really interesting.   It was supposed to be closed on 31 August but by public demand it is remaining open until the end of 2016.

Tour of Australia (Part 4 - Sydney)

Day 13 - we arrived in Sydney, a city that I love.

I spent my time in Sydney visiting friends on each of the days we were there, I met up with Marg, Paul and Anne.

I did have time for a couple of sketches too.

At the end of the organised tour I spent some time with some more friends in Sydney and I was taken to visit the Blue Mountains and it was spectacular.  There are photos of the rest of my visit on flickr.

Tour of Australia (Part 3 - Cairns)

Day 9 - After our time at Ayers Rock we flew to Cairns, where it was very hot and humid.

This was my view from the hotel balcony I had a relaxing home on Day 10 so I did a couple of sketches.

The following day it was a trip on the Kuranda Skyrail and Railway.

Our last day in Cairns we went up to Port Douglas where we saw the lovely church, St Mary's by the Sea.

We went on to do a river trip to spot crocodiles

Look heres one!

Paignton Zoo

On a recent visit to a friend in Paignton we took a visit to the zoo.  It was a great day and we were very impressed by the zoo.

The orangutans put on quite a display, especially this little young one.

The parent was not entirely impressed and was more interested in eating.

The giraffes are always so elegant.

And in this shot I managed to catch a seagull in flight too.

Jamie Cullum at Greenwich Music Time

I went my friend Debbie to the Greenwich Music Time at the Old Naval College, Greenwich, to see Jamie Cullum.

First we saw Jacob Collier, a very talented young man.

Then we had a fab time watching and listening to Jamie Cullum.

We had a lovely sunset too.
